  • CPR for Expecting & Seasoned Caregivers

    Monthly Class - Saturdays, January 6th, February 24th, March 16th, April 13th, and May 18th

    This three hour class is designed to teach expecting parents, parents, grandparents, and caregivers how to perform CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver on babies and children. This class is facilitated by Joanna Juralewciz Pediatric LPN, BLS, PD, CLC.

    Please note: If you are attending this class as an adult professional, doula, nanny or babysitter, you MUST purchase the certifying payment option. This class offers a certificate through Emergency Care & Safety Institute (ECSI)(ECSI may not meet all medical professional requirements).   • Pregnant & Prepared : Feel Confident Taking Your Baby Home (Newborn Care Class}

    Monthly Class - Sunday, February 25th and Saturday, April 20th

    Join Joanna Juralewciz Pediatric LPN, BLS,PD, CLC and break down the uncertainty that surrounds newborn care. This interactive, hands-on type of learning will provide the confidence needed to survive those first few months of parenting and beyond. This 3-hour class is for expecting parents, support people are encouraged to join!

    You can expect to learn:

    • How to change a diaper

    • How to prevent diaper rashes

    • How to take your baby’s temperature

    • How to make a bottle safely

    • How to care for your newborns umbilical cord

    • How to bathe you newborn

    • How to swaddle your newborn and more!

  • Postpartum Prepared: Feel Confident Caring For Yourself at Home (Parent Care Class)

    Monthly Class - Sunday, February 11th and Sunday, April 21st

    A 3-hour class devoted to preparing your mind, body, and relationships for life after baby.

    Join Krista Maltais, Advanced Postpartum Doula, Advanced Lactation Consultant, and Founder/Owner of Relief Parenting to demystify what to expect for yourself in the early weeks after birth.

    This interactive and engaging class will encourage you to discuss preparation with your support person, discover important information for comfort and safety, as well as provide you with encouragement and confidence!This 3-hour class is for expecting parents; a support person is encouraged to join!

    Participants will learn about:

    • Postpartum Expectations

    • Nutrition and Self-Care Tips

    • Postpartum Exercise Options for Physical Recovery

    • Infant Bonding Techniques

    • Support System Strategies

    • Time Management and Stress Reduction Suggestions

    • Discussion Points to Plan for the Future

    • Q&A, additional resources and referrals will also be provided along with a *free gift*!

    This class pairs well with "Pregnant & Prepared (Newborn Care Class)" and can be included in our class bundle options!

  • Breastfeeding Basics

    Monthly Class - Sunday, February 11th

    The first section of class helps you learn:

    • the most vital information about initiating breastfeeding immediately after birth

    • what “the magical hour” is

    • how to tell if your providers are breastfeeding savvy

    • techniques and tips to be a supportive partner

    • how to establish optimal milk supply

    • what to expect in the early days and weeks of nursing.

    This session goes beyond the basic hospital class to address YOUR specific questions, concerns, and needs as a unique family.

    The second section of class helps you learn:

    • when your baby is hungry and full

    • when your baby is overwhelmed

    • when your baby is interested and/or wants to play

    • when your baby is tired and ready to sleep

    • how to respond to your baby in each situation

    • techniques for baby soothing, including swaddling, sensory input, and sounds

    Using realistically weighted dolls, you will get hands-on practice to feel confident understanding your newborn's cues and how to calm him/her.

  • Cloth Diaper 101 Class

    Have you ever been curious about cloth diapers? What are they all about? They look so soft and come in cute patterns, but how do they work? Are they really better for the environment? How in the world do you clean the poop?

    The answer to all of these questions can be found in our newest class - Cloth Diaper 101! Join cloth diaper educator, Alyssa King, as you explore the basics of cloth diapering your baby. In this class you will learn all about the different styles of cloth diapers, functional use and care of cloth diapers, and how to make cloth diapering work for your family and lifestyle. Have fun and get hands-on practice folding and fastening diapers, see and feel the different styles and fabrics available for cloth diapers, and chat with other local families who are interested in cloth diapering too!

    Bring all of your questions and an open mind! This 1.5 hour class is appropriate for any caregivers who are interested in cloth diapering. All experience levels are welcome.

Registration FAQs

    • Most 3-hour Single Classes are $149 and includes 2 caregivers

    • CPR Classes range from $75-$125 per class

  • If you have signed up for the class, we ask that if you need to, please cancel 12 hours prior to the class in order to give people on the waitlist the opportunity to join. If you cancel at least 12 hours prior, the class fee will be kept in your account to be used on a later date of your choosing. If you cancel less than 12 hours prior, or if you fail to show, you will be charged for the class. That amount cannot be transferred to another class. Please email or call us with questions or concerns.

  • Preregistration of classes is highly recommended. Our classes fill up quickly and we can’t guarantee a spot will be available for drop-ins. Please call before coming to the center to check drop-in availability.

    If the class is full, you can join the wait-list. When a spot opens up you will automatically be added from the wait-list and be notified via email and/or text (please check your opt in notifications via your Mindbody account.)
